Why Walk for Breast Cancer?
"I felt moved by learning that 3 of my cousins were diagnosed with breast cancer in the last 9 months. I have always enjoyed hiking and felt I could learn to go for a longer distance. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer supports many research, treatment and community programs, including those providing meals, counseling, family activities and Battered Womens Support groups. I've raised $2,059.00 so far.
Our cousin and an active cancer patient Denise Barr walked 5k with her family in Washington DC this spring with the Susan G Komen Foundation!!
Other family members walking for Breast Cancer this year includes Charlene Foster Brown, Michele Jameson,Kelly Jameson, Kim Jameson,Charles Barr and Keisha Banks!"
